KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa is a photographer’s dream. Scenery runs from sub-tropical coastland, savannah-like veld, rolling verdant farmlands and the rugged country below the majestic Drakensberg mountain.
The weather patterns experienced in KZN are as varied as the terrain and allow scenic snappers a wide and varied canvas to work with. Sub-tropical weather systems bring heavy rain during the summer months, turning much of the countryside into lush greenery and wild rambling bushland.
Winter, particularly in the interior of the Province, are cooler and drier resulting in countryside resembling parts of England. These images were captured on a misty winter morning near Greenfields in the Midlands of the Province.
